A fun workshop aimed at families where you will be modelling sculpting and getting to grips with working in clay. Once your artwork is finished it will be glazed and fired. The workshop is free to attend and all materials are provided.
The Event
On Sunday 24 July Felicity Hoyle led two ceramics workshops morning and afternoon for 20 adults
and children. The workshop focussed on making clay portraits, they got to grips with modelling and
sculpting the clay. Participants were shown the fundamentals in making a face in proportion, they
then became really creative and experimental in using the clay and developing the basic structure.
The resulting faces were incredibly different and inventive and fun!
